Biodistrikt Kolubara brings together producers, processors and other members of the local community. As the number of members and the volume of information grew, an ordinary website was no longer enough. What was needed was a platform where members can register, manage their own data and their own products, while the administration gets a clear overview of the offering and of the activity across the whole system.

Challenge
The system had to support different types of members, different documentation and a controlled membership process. Producers and processors do not become members automatically once they register; their applications and documentation go through administrative approval. Certified producers can submit their certificates, while uncertified producers can be part of the system as well.

Solution
Every approved member gets an admin panel where they enter and update products, quantities, descriptions and contact details, and the products appear on the public side of the platform, organized by category and linked to the producer offering them. The administration no longer has to maintain the entire offering by hand; members manage the information they know best themselves. Producers also enter how many products they currently have, how much they plan to produce and what share of it they want to place through Biodistrikt, which gives insight into surplus and shortfall.

Result
Biodistrikt is no longer only a place where local producers are presented. The platform connects membership, documentation, products, quantities and production planning, and becomes a tool that supports the everyday work of the community.
